Catherine Follett brings nearly 30 years of experience in workplace safety, emergency response, and leadership across mining, industrial operations, and emergency services. She began her safety journey as a volunteer firefighter and Training Officer with the Hosmer Volunteer Fire Department before moving into industrial safety with Teck Coal Ltd., where she led mine rescue teams and developed extensive safety programs. Her career also includes service as a Paramedic with the BC Ambulance Service, further strengthening her expertise in high-pressure emergency response.

From 2016 to 2024, Catherine served as Safety Manager with Transcendent Mining and Mobilization Inc., overseeing safety programs for over 200 employees, conducting audits, managing investigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Now at SHE Consulting, she applies her field and leadership experience to enhance safety systems, coordinate training, and foster a proactive safety culture for clients across industries.

Catherine is proud of her achievements in Mine Rescue, holds a NCSO designation, and is passionate about leveraging technology, data, and human-centered approaches to prevent workplace injuries and protect workers, especially in Northern operations where safety innovation has immense potential.
